Barista Level 2 is an intensive course designed for those who want to take their coffee knowledge to the next level.
It is ideal for baristas and coffee lovers with basic experience who want to deeply understand taste, equipment, and the decisions behind a well-executed espresso and brew.
The course combines theory with extensive hands-on practice, focusing on the why, not just the how.
You will explore:

What coffee really is, from plant to cup

Origins, varieties, estates, picking methods, and all processing styles

What roasting is and how it affects flavor depending on usage

The role of humidity in green and roasted coffee

Professional equipment: espresso machines, grinders, burrs, water quality, and temperature

How to dial in espresso and understand taste adjustments

How to build an espresso menu based on flavor
- How to use new espresso tools & equipment
Practical sessions include:

Cupping of 4 different coffees (origin, process, variety, roast profile)

Espresso recipe setup and taste evaluation

Tamping & distribution and their importance

Espresso taste differences (stretto, normal, lungo)
On day two, the focus shifts to milk, plant-based alternatives, and brewing:

Proper milk and plant-based milk foaming

Zero waste milk practices & milk menu differences

Cappuccino preparation and basic latte art

Hand brew & batch brew using different devices and recipes

Coffee shop role-play to understand workflow and communication
-
Equipment and space cleaning, because quality starts there
